So what is kidsplaygolffree.com?

Kidsplaygolffree.com is a North American Directory of golf courses that allow kids play golf free as long as they are with an adult who pays a green fee.

DO PARENTS HAVE TO PAY TO USE THE DIRECTORY?

Kids Play Golf Free Directory is free for parents to use. All you have to do is register as a golfer then search for the course or courses you'd like to play. Each course has it's own web page explaining the details and times available for their program.

IS THERE A FEE FOR A GOLF COURSE TO PARTICIPATE?

No. There is a no set up fee for the course! When a golf course operator adds his golf course to the directory on line, the golf course receives the following benefits

  • Your own personalized and editable Web Page including Photo Gallery, Current Weather Conditions, Driving Directions and course information in the KPGF directory. The operator may list specials and make changes to his program without contacting KPGF. Space will be available for the operator to sell ads on his web page.
  • A direct link to your course web site.

HOW CAN KIDS PLAY GOLF FREE BENEFIT MY COURSE?

If a course allocated 100 tee-times per week (approximately 4 hours) to a kids play golf free program and 50% of those tee-times are used, the program will generate around $1,000 per week in additional revenue. These revenues are based on national averages for courses that offer kids play golf free programs. Revenues are generated from Green Fees, Carts, Food & Beverage and Pro Shop sales. In addition, courses have found that the program brings back dormant golfers, who would like to play with their kids, and increases rounds played by regular players.

Kidsplaygolffree programs expect to generate $2.7 billion per year in future golf revenue. The National Golf Foundation figures indicate that the average core golfer plays 30 rounds per year and spends $3,000 on golf related spending. If one kid who starts playing golf in 2009 becomes a core golfer, that kid is worth 2,200 rounds and $180,000 in golf related spending over the next 60 years. If only 15% of the golf courses in US and Canada (about 3,000) were to have a kids play golf free program, and if each of those courses had only five kids start playing in 2009 and became core golfers, those kids would play 33 million rounds and generate $2.7 billion in golf related revenue over the next 60 years. The goal is to keep the pipeline full of new Junior Golfers and duplicate these numbers year after year. The impact is HUGE.
